Segments section of continuous casting machine is one of the important role in the production process of continuous casting machine. Single continuous casting machine constituting the continuous casting line in continuous casting production is generally called segments section, which is generally divided into arc section (or bending section), straightening section and horizontal section. It can be divided into slab segments, square billet segments and round billet segments according to the different casting billets. The most common parts in production are slab continuous caster segments and square continuous caster segments.
Main function of Continuous Casting Machine Segments
The primary function of the continuous caster segments is to guide the billet pulled out from the support guide section to prevent the billet shell from bulging under hydrostatic pressure. Continue spraying water or gas-water atomization cooling of the billet with liquid core together, so that the billet can continue spraying cooling until the complete condensation of the billet stops; The casting slab is pulled out and straightened into slab by driving wheels positioned on each sector. The continuous caster segments also guides the conveying and holding of the lead spindle rod for casting and billet drawing. A good continuous caster segments is primarily composed of internal and external arc structure, stick installation (including drive stick and free wheel), clamping guide equipment, drive wheel pressing equipment, stick seam adjustment equipment and water cooling, lubrication, hydraulic piping, etc.
Some continuous caster segments are also equipped with two side structures, the side structure is fixed on the outer arc structure, the mixing joint adjustment equipment is fixed on the side structure, the side structure has the function of guiding the upper structure, the lifting shaft for lifting the continuous caster segments is installed above the side structure, and the guide shaft for replacing the continuous caster segments is also installed in the side structure and the outer arc structure.
The continuous caster segments plays the role of supporting and guiding the casting slab. It is the equipment that contacts directly with the casting slab during the process of agglomeration and has a great influence on the surface and internal quality of the casting slab. The primary purpose of continuous caster segments control is to ensure accurate and stable roll seams according to process requirements.
